The 2013 Sonata is powered by the original Theta II GDI 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with a Gasoline Direct-Injection (GDI) fuel delivery system, contributing to an overall improved fuel efficiency and lower emissions. The study results include industry insights, model rankings in each of the car and light-truck segments, and full nameplate rankings. Overall dependability is determined by the level of problems experienced per 100 vehicles (PP100), with a lower score reflecting higher quality.
